 Dennis Niemier, Kudan, 9th Degree Black Belt, Grand Master

1966 – Began training in Judo at Mishawaka YMCA. My best friend, Scott, was my inspiration for attending my first class. I haven’t stopped learning since.
1968 – Self-Defense Class at YMCA
1969 – Shodan, 1st Degree Blue Belt, Judo
1970 – Began training in IAI-jutsu, Quick Draw Sword Art
1975 – Bo/Jo training at Elkhart YMCA with Soke Rod Sacharnoski of Juko-Kai International
1976 – Began Kempo training with Soke Ralph Parcell
1983 – Shodan, 1st Degree Black Belt in Kempo-jutsu.
1984 – Passed IAI-jutsu Sword Art Mastery. Tested by Soke Shodai Ralph L Parcell and Soke-Dai Clayton H Young.
1985 – Kyushiki-ryu School of Kempo-jutsu opened. Appointed to Society of Shihan.

The dojo has given me the unique opportunity to be with a diverse group of students. I would not trade this experience for anything else. To be true to one’s self is a guide taught to me by a true master, Soke-Shodai Ralph Parcell.

Continued Training in 1982 with Soke Shodai Ralph Parcell in Kyushiki-Ryu Kempo Jutsu
Appointed to Society of Shihan in 1991 ( Master student of Soke)

Appointed as Training Coordinator by Soke Nidai  2016

Began martial arts training in 1967 at Michigan State University.

Started  Kyushiki-Ryu in 1988.  Fifth Degree Master and adult class instructor.

Black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Trained in Shorin-ryu, Tai Chi Chuan, Chi Gong and Nunchaku. 

 

 

3rd Degree Black Belt Adam Rector

Adam Rector, Sandan, 3rd Degree Black Belt

 Began training in the Martial Arts in 2003. Started Kyushiki-Ryu Kempo Jutsu in 2005, became Shodan in 2009.

Currently serves on the Faculty in the Martial Arts Program at Indiana University and travels to train, teach, and perform martial arts and stage combat across the country.

 His martial journey has seen him teaching children, adults, students, and stunt performers and taken him as far as Okinawa, China, and Brunei.

He holds rank in Kempo, Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Jeet Kune Do, and Kali as well as being involved in the practice, research, and teaching of Historical European Martial Arts and Southeast Asian Silat

He holds undergraduate degrees from Indiana University in both Physics and Martial Arts Training Methodologies as well as a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology. He is also a graduate of the International Stunt School and a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors
